Who are you?
I am a professional musician, writer, classical music reviewer, and teacher in Richmond, Virginia. I play with other colleagues who are graduates of the finest music schools, including Eastman, Hartt, VCU, to name a few.
Where have you played?
Among us we have experience playing at hundreds of weddings in a variety of venues--outdoors, indoors, at gardens and country clubs, in churches, on college campuses, in private homes. Some of the lovely venues where we have experience playing include:
Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden
The Science Museum
Stonehenge Country Club
Cannon Memorial Chapel (University of Richmond)
The Edgar Allen Poe Museum
The Virginia Museum Fine Arts
and countless area churches.
How far in advance do we need to book musicians for a wedding?
Start booking now--weekends are already filling up. However, last minute engagements may be available.
Can we request certain pieces of music?
Yes! Actually, playing different pieces of music is more fun for us! We will discuss that at the planning meeting. There are limitations, however, such as copyright. But we are happy to accommodate any requests that we can. There may be a fee if we have to search for or purchase unusual music not ordinarily played at weddings.
In general, if I have to spend more than 30 minutes looking for or arranging the music, I will charge a fee, typically not more than $20.00 additional.
What will the musicians wear?
Men: Tuxedos/Black-tie, unless you request that they wear a suit and tie.
Women: All black blouses, dresses, skirts or elegant pants, black dress shoes
Our goal is to be an unobtrusive calm, elegant presence.

- This 50% deposit is refundable up to 30 days prior to the event, meaning if you cancel 31 days or more before the event, you will get your deposit back. 30 or fewer days prior to the event, the deposit is non-refundable.
- The remaining 50% of the fee will be due one week prior to your event.
